The Vertigo Podcast: The Cloud Consultant

In collaboration with Radio IT Podcast Network

In collaboration and by  Radio IT Podcast Network we have created a series of podcasts entitled "The Cloud Consultant".
The episodes deal with the success stories of Vertigo Consulting with a storytelling approach focused on customer reassurance and our "accompanying the customer to the Cloud".
During the episodes you will hear the voices of the co-founders of Vertigo Consulting and our clients.

The first episode "Together towards the Cloud”Is a case of a large company that turned to Vertigo for the passage to the Cloud, despite doubts, uncertainties and difficulties.
This characterizes the tendency of some companies to be wary of outsourcing their IT infrastructures, bringing them to the Cloud.
Alessandro Beretta, co-founder of Vertigo, talks about the design, development and construction project of a listed company and leader in the Italian sector that deals with real estate, structures for art, culture and entertainment.
Considering the company size, a project in the Cloud means the migration of a large amount of company data, present on the servers.

The second episode of the series "The Cloud Consultant" addresses a fundamental issue in the IT sector and in modern infrastructures: disaster recovery, that is a well-structured emergency plan that allows the recovery of data from an IT infrastructure following a disaster, which can be of different nature (natural events such as earthquakes or floods that damage servers, criminal attacks such as cryptolockers that destroy internal data, or the hardware malfunction of computer devices).
The title of the second episode contains all the sensations resulting from the loss of company data, of all company data: "All data gone: the company no longer exists!".
In this episode our client also intervenes through the voice of Fabio Vigato, Information Systems Director of Fidim Holding Group. With Salvatore Calcerano, co-founder of Vertigo, tell us about the emotions, fears and how the misadventure that took place on the night between 8 and 9 October 2020, when all company data disappeared, was resolved.

The third episode "Towards the Cloud with serenity”Illustrates the project of Spektra, a company Trimble.
Luciano Sciortino, co-founder of Vertigo, talks about the peaceful and gradual process towards the Cloud.
This project allows us to identify some benefits of moving to the Cloud: the adaptation to customer needs in terms of the number of collaborators and employees and, above all, the easy scalability of IT resources when brought to the Cloud.
In addition, the customer Spektra, referred to on our site is also present a case study, has undergone a great and rapid structural growth and for this reason has undertaken a gradual path towards the Cloud, which includes the Cloud migration of servers, followed by the virtualization of only some desktops, those linked to a particular business area with computation needs and higher IT performance.
Facing the change towards the Cloud in a situation of business change, such as business growth, is not a drastic, total and immediate change, on the contrary, it can be faced with serenity, gradually and with the support of trusted and competent professionals, who know show the customer the various steps to follow and the opportunities given by Cloud technology.
